Another great food review for you to check out! Last time I had Little Tokyo. This time, I went about an hour and a half from New Orleans to Biloxi, Mississippi to the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino and hit up The Buffet for lunch! Again, this was another non-sponsored post and all expenses came out of pocket.
As we arrived the scenery was beautiful. The casino is along the beach, so even though the main temperature was warm, the weather along the casino was a bit chilly. As we entered into the casino itself the temperature was comfortable (thank goodness!). This was my first trip to this particular casino so I was extremely excited when I saw their beautiful decor as we made our way through the casino. Actually, it was more of a shopping area, hotel check in spots, etc that we walked through until we reached the buffet. It looked like a high end shopping strip if you ask me. Since Easter is around the corner, they had plants cut out in the shape of rabbits and other appropriate decor to accompany them.
Once we made it to The Buffet (yes, that’s actually the name of the buffet itself!) We paid for our lunch and were seated. After being seated we found our way through the LARGE buffet bar. At first, it didn’t seem like much, it appeared like 2 decent rows of food, but as I made my way to the end I saw there was MORE food if I went around. There was plenty of FRESHLY cooked food for everyone. They had food assortment choices for everyone, whether you wanted chicken, soup, noodles, bbq, dessert, etc they had something you were sure to like.
I filled my plate and began my lunch. The food was GREAT. It was fresh, it was warm and it was delicious! It was also filling. Unfortunately my belly couldn’t hold enough room to try everything they had, although I wanted to. I did leave enough room to try a few desserts though and they were quite yummy as well! The seating was quite comfortable compared to typical restaurants and again the scenery was elegant and beautiful. It made a comfortable setting to relax and dine. All the staff at The Buffet was friendly and wonderful. They made sure we were doing ok but hanging over our shoulder.
After stuffing our bellies, we decided to go check out the casino for a bit. It’s basically the same set up as any other typical casino. Tons of machines and gambling tables set up for you to choose from. I must say, this casino part was the best of the casinos I’ve been to so far. Why? Because I turned $5 into $30 on the penny machines! Ok, so maybe I’m being a bit biased about it now, but really, the experience was wonderful. Again, the staff was friendly and helpful throughout.
Keep in mind, no one under the age of 18 is allowed in the casino and you must be 21 or older in order to gamble in the casino. The buffets and such are open to any and everyone. So if you’re going just to eat, bring the family. If you have no little ones, feel free to check out the casino. Remember to gamble responsibly though! Here’s my tip: Withdraw the cash ahead of time of what your limit is and leave your card put away! If your cash goes, then don’t pull anymore out. If you get ahead, quite while you can, something is better than nothing!
